Okay, let’s lay the foundation. I want to provide the beliefs, ideas, concepts and principles that are going to help you get your mind, energy and internal environment right to do this thing. I want to help you set your goal, cast vision and know where you are going when it comes to the course you are creating and getting into the world via CCQII.

Your Topic

I have a theory that the vast majority of courses that do not sell just weren’t presented and packaged properly. And you think that might not come until you start selling the course, but in truth, the positioning begins the moment you pick your topic. I know you have questions: Do I have to niche down? How vague is too vague? How do I pick something people want to buy? How do I know if there is a market for my course?

I am going to tell you how to determine all of this. A little critical thinking along with answering the right questions for yourself and a tiny bit of research — this is going to start getting clearer.

The best thing about this is, once you get this, you can use this process for anything you create and want to sell from now until eternity. HOORAY!

In many cases you are creating this course for a previous version of you. Meaning, you are creating it for those who are where you used to be. And if this is not the case for you, I know what to have you do so that you can know exactly what topic the person you desire to help needs from you.

Your Client — Let’s Get to Know Her

Like I said in the last section, perhaps your ideal client is a previous version of you. That’s powerful. Perhaps your ideal client is someone completely different, buy whom you feel to create a course for. No matter who they are, we are going to take some time to get to know them.

Building on the last module we are going to work out who this person is, what their struggles are, what problem we are solving for them. This is so powerful as this will inform so much of your marketing plan and how you will craft your sales page when you get to those steps!

Your Course Style + Your Title

When it comes to digital courses, there is more than one way to do things. You can pre-record live with your first round of students and then sell the recordings as your course. (That is what I am doing with CCQ.) You can sit and pre-record the content and then begin selling once the course is complete.

Once your course is done, there is more than one way to sell it. You can have it open all year long. You can “live-launch” it – meaning you have enrollment periods that open and close. Or you can do a combo: You can have a course that is open all year, but goes on sale from time to time for a live launch.

I will go over all of this with, discussing the benefits to each, you so you can choose what’s right for you.

Next, it will be time to take everything you’ve sorted through in these first three modules and finalize your title! I will share what makes an effective title and tag line! Woot.
